The idea behind the Thornberry Creek Couples League is to have fun and enjoy your Friday night on the golf course and enjoy the fish fry (or other meal) after play. At the same time, to meet new people and create memories. All couples are welcome, no matter how good or not so good you think you are at golf! No pressure at all. The weekly games are designed to be for your enjoyment.

• The league will be every other Friday and there will be a different golf format each week. League will run May thru August (9 weeks) and will begin with a 5:30pm shotgun. All winnings will be awarded in pro shop credit for merchandise only. Points will be accumulated throughout the year for Couple of the Year honors! The names of the Couple of the Year are displayed on a plaque in the pro shop!
  
  
• Couples who do not already have a current USGA/WSGA handicap will need one by June. The process is simple and Thornberry Creek will help you with this. There is a fee for a handicap that the WSGA charges for this (current members of Thornberry Creek already paid this fee).
  
  
• All couples are expected to play each week scheduled. Simply let the golf shop know at least 5 days prior (by Monday) if you cannot play a certain week.
  
  
• New couples may join at any time throughout the year!
  
  
• Meet new people and enjoy the fish fry or any other great meal after play!

League Fees: Same as 2007!

Weekly Prizes $5.00 per week x 9 weeks	= $45.00
Year End Awards (Couple of the Year, etc.)	= $12.00
WSGA Handicap fee per person (Non-Members Only)	= $20.00 / Person (usually $25.00)
Total	= $57.00 per Couple
(Non-members including 2007 WSGA Handicap fees = $97.00 per Couple)

August 22	Couple's Championship! Couple (2 person) Combined Net (10 shot Max)

Couple of the Year points are accumulated each week:

Receive 5 points for 1 st Place , 3 points for 2 nd , 1 for 3 rd . You also receive 3 points for your attendance each week or even getting a sub.

However, this league is a social league and all about having fun - no pressure!
